Richards Cajun Foods

Working at his grandmother’s small grocery store, Lonnie Richard learned her secret family recipes for all the favorite foods that cajuns in Southwest Louisiana enjoy as a celebration of life.

Providing quality products and service has enabled us to grow from one route in 1981 to seven in 1998.  Our product lines include smoked sausage, boudin, pork & turkey tasso, pork hocks and head cheese.

In 1997, Richard’s introduced a new premium rice dressing mix, several new smoked sausage items, and re-launched its bottled Roux.  A new, very entertaining radio advertising campaign, “Sounds Delicious” blanketed the cajun airwaves!

In 1998, Richard’s launched a line of fully cooked, frozen cajun entrees: Cajun Favorites.  Richard’s is involved in many community development programs, such as the annual Church Point Buggy Festival.

Proceeds from this charitable event are given to a local hospital, called Acadia-St. Landry Hospital.  This festival is a wonderful expression of cajun life at its finest.  Richard’s Cajun Foods runs a booth serving the greatest cajun style food around.  Face painting, authentic cajun music and dance are just a few of the activities at the festival.  Richard’s has some new products out on the market now including: Richard’s Cajun Bacon, and Richards’ Cajun Pork Sausage.

Ronnie Doucet is our President of Richard’s Cajun Foods Corporation.  Todd Richard is the Sales Manager.
